In this workshop, we'll go over how to design cases for handwired keyboards, with many of the concepts and techniques applying to PCB builds as well.

This will be more of a webinar where I share the tips, tricks, and design techniques I've learned from years of designing keyboards. Rather than focusing on one specific project, we'll cover the general concepts you can apply to your own designs. I'll be teaching using Shapr3D, which is free with some limitations, but the concepts apply to virtually any CAD program.

The workshop will be conducted live over Discord with a Q&A session at the end where you can ask questions and get additional guidance. You'll also receive lifetime access to the private Discord channels, where you can ask questions, share your builds, get feedback, and connect with other students even after the live session has ended.

Advanced Course

We will be focusing on the basics of case design to get you started but I have plans on a second "Advanced Case Design" webinar. This one will focus on more advanced topics such as plate mounted controllers with pin socket headers, making plates in KiCad, and exporting your PCB from KiCad for use in CAD programs.

It would be recommended you take this beginner course before the advanced one as we won't be going over the foundational topics there.
