ScottoCirque

The ScottoCirque is a 40mm Cirque Glidepoint trackpad module. I designed it to test out the Cirque trackpad for upcoming builds that implement it in them. It has some neat features like rotational scrolling where you can rotate around the edge and depending on if you start on the left or right, it will scroll horizontally or vertically. It also allows tap to click which is nice but there are 3 points on the back for wiring dedicated buttons. Pointing is decent, somewhere between a Windows laptop and a MacBook.

Getting One

If you’re interested in getting one assembled, contact me and we can discuss the components and other details for a commissioned build. However, the files are available for free here if you want to build one yourself.

In addition to the 3D printed case and wire, you'll also need tools along with the following components:

• 1 RP2040 Pro Micro
• 1 40mm Cirque (TM040040-2024-302)
• 4 M2x4mm screws
• 4 M2 heat set inserts

Wiring

Simply connect the SPI and VCC connections to your microcontroller:

1. 3.3v -> VDD
2. GND - > GND
3. GP2 -> SCK
4. GP3 -> SI
5. GP4 -> SS
6. GP5 -> SO

Firmware

You can find the firmware files on the qmk_firmware repository or you can compile them online using the QMK Configurator. However, QMK is often slow at getting changes merged and because of that you can find the most up-to-date firmware on the ScottoKeebs Github repository. Also available are the pre-compiled firmware files that are ready to flash:
