The Scotto48 (PCB Edition) is an ultra low-profile 48-key Choc keyboard with an exposed controller and diodes. Powered by an RP2040 Raspberry Pi Pico, it supports Vial for easy GUI-based customization. Designed to be beginner-friendly, the entire build uses only through-hole components and a socketed controller to allow easy repairability.
The PCB includes:
- 1 Scotto48 PCB
- 1 Plexiglass Cover
- 48 1N4148 DO-35 Diodes
- 2 1x10 Pin socket headers
- Kapton tape for MCU socketing
- 4 M2 Nuts
- 4 M2x4mm pan head screws
- 4 M2x4mm standoffs
- 8 M2x5mm countersunk screws
The case includes:
- 1 Scotto48 3D printed case
- 1 Set of 3D printed plates
- 6 Rubber feet
You will need the following to complete the build:
- 1 RP2040 Raspberry Pi Pico
- 48 Choc switches
- 48 1u keycaps
If you want to 3D print the case yourself, the files are available here. Just note that the Scotto48 is too long for most standard 3D printers. That said, the PCB can also be used without a case but I don't think that looks as cool.
